Julia Marin is an Argentinean jeweller, designer and maker based in Auckland. Julia trained in Fashion Design (UBA) and Traditional Silversmithing (SURJA)

in Buenos Aires, and completed a Diploma in Jewellery Design & Manufacture (MIT) in New Zealand, where she lives and works since 2008.

Her work explores the relationship between form and space through minimalist compositions while utilising traditional jewellery techniques and emphasis in reusing resources.

The works presented at ICKX are primarily hand fabricated combined in some cases with lost wax casting components, casted by the artist. Pieces are entirely made in recycled sterling silver from the artist's bench scraps, refined by Julia in her home studio in Piha.
